HHPR Announces New Principal
Harper Houf Peterson Righellis Inc. (HHPR), is excited to share the announcement of Benjamin R. Austin, PE as a newly appointed principal. An Oregon State University graduate, Ben Austin is a registered civil engineer in Oregon and Washington. He started as a summer intern for HHPR in the 1990’s and has learned all aspects of HHPR’s operation from the ground up. His years of commitment to client service and project success have evolved into strong leadership and foresight for the company. As a principal, Ben will be part of the leadership team who will guide the firm’s growth into the future.

Ben has been serving HHPR clients by providing excellent project management services for multi-disciplinary teams on federal, state and locally funded public projects as well as private development projects. His work engages his passion for innovative stormwater design and multimodal transportation engineering throughout the region. Ben’s projects range from local bicycle and pedestrian improvements to regionally significant transportation corridors implementing features such as protected bikeways, roundabouts, and urban streetscapes. SW Multnomah Boulevard, a project recently completed by Ben, was named “…one of the city’s best bike lanes” by BikePortland.org.
