Jackson Street (Main St. – 21st Ave.) Sidewalks
This project was one of only a handful of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) projects statewide that included comprehensive reconstruction rather than pavement overlays. HHPR teamed with the City of Milwaukie, ODOT, and TriMet to deliver this project through the Federal aid design and permitting process under a very constrained schedule.
The project provided full concrete street reconstruction, including new roadway, curb and gutter, sidewalks, street trees, ornamental street lighting, curb extensions, landscape islands with irrigation, greenstreet stormwater management planters, undergrounding of existing overhead utilities and provisions for two high capacity bus shelters with full amenities. HHPR managed the construction phase of this project, which was completed in December 2010.
