Edy Ridge Elementary and Laurel Ridge Middle Schools
HHPR provided land use planning, civil engineering, environmental permitting and construction services to the Sherwood School District on a new 30-acre elementary and middle school site. The project included design and construction of sidewalks in order to provide connectivity from the new schools to existing neighborhoods and adjacent parks. Due to the school site’s location in a rural agricultural area, public road and utility extensions were required, including public street, water main, sanitary sewer, and storm water infrastructure. The offsite public improvements also involved design of a regional water quality facility.
HHPR conducted neighborhood meetings, prepared conditional land use application, led the effort for the annexation into the City from the County, and annexation into a storm and sanitary sewer district. HHPR coordinated the public improvement design with the City’s adopted concept plan for the Urban Growth Boundary Expansion area and the concept development plans of adjacent property owners.
